Food for the Hungry is a Christian non-profit organization focused on ending poverty—one community at a time.

THE JOB
Reporting directly to the President, the Executive Assistant & Office Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive and high-level administrative support to the senior leadership to contribute to the execution of excellent cross-departmental administrative and internal communication processes.  This position performs a wide variety of administrative duties ensuring ongoing support, coordination and information is disseminated in an efficient manner.  

This position is a full time permanent position based out of our Abbotsford office.

Reporting to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization by facilitating efficient cross-departmental administrative processes and internal communication.  You  demonstrate exceptional relationship building skills that drive cross-departmental collaboration through solid listening and analysis.  You possess excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities that support excellence in administration and document management.  As the ideal candidate you thrive on creating user friendly processes and have a customer service approach when collaborating with colleagues and donors.  You understand that as an Executive Assistant, you often represent the organization as a whole and you lead by example.

HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates and executes processes to ensure information management and record keeping for the organization.
  • Coordinates inter-team communication, information and workflows using G Suite tools and Asana project management software.
  • Provides executive support by organizing travel logistics, managing calendars, special events  and drafting executive documents.
  • Acts as a point of contact for inquiries to the CEO and represents the president's office to supporters and stakeholders.
  • Creates a welcoming and inclusive office environment by coordinating cleaning schedules and office aesthetics and inventory of supplies.
  • Supports the ongoing development and shared ownership of FH culture through participation in event coordination and planning.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • 5-7 years of professional administrative experience, preferably at the executive level
  • Advanced experience in cloud-based document management and standard software (Google or Microsoft Office Suites).
  • Familiarity with CRM software (experience with Netsuite is a bonus) and project management software (experience with Asana is a bonus).
  • Strong administrative, process and systems skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through a high level of self awareness and listening skills.
  • Strong self-management skills—a self starter able to work well independently while achieving the goals and mission of the larger team.
  • Presents with a high level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to be resourceful, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Personal and professional dedication to FH Canada’s core values and comfortable working in a Christian environment.

SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annual salary.  A full suite of additional benefits include full employer paid medical, dental, RRSP matching, and generous paid time off.

Compensation
